I recently acquired 3 PCs from my job and the one in the pic has an i7-2600 which I wanna use to make my gf a budget gaming PC. I was going to put my old HD 6970 in there but its way too big, removing the HDD bay wouldn't be an issue but then the card would be blocking the SATA ports. If I use the PCI under it, it blocks the PC power and led cables.....I'm stuck. Any thoughts?

That's the issue you get with priority boards. If they were never designed to fit a beefy video card the manufacturer won't take it into consideration when they design their board. Just take out the CPU. eBay a board and get a new case

They have sata cables with 90° bends. Maybe that will work.

using a 6970 would probably a no go, but if its for a budget build.. getting a 560/1050ti would fix all your problems

I just took off the plastic cover and got a little more room. One I take out the HDD bay I'm gonna see if its enough room

Get a single fan gtx 1050ti or Rx 560 . Cheap and better than that 6850

Is this a dell xps 8300? I’m currently running one with 16gb of ram and a 1050ti and she’s a little beauty.

90 degree SATA cables are a thing or you could buy the extension cards for the pci slots and mount the gpu vertically

Could buy a raid card and run the hdds off of that. Or buy a smaller gpu...
