I had a thought a few days ago. Why can't Nintendo issue special Amiibo cards for the game Animal Crossing? The difference with these would be that instead of villagers they'd have qr codes for clothing you could scan in and use in game-or perhaps furniture and knickknacks. That would give the game its special spice. Perhaps Nintendo can do this if and when Animal Crossing hits the Switch.

You kind of get this with the Welcome Amiibo upgrade. The villagers brought in with the amiibo function would allow you to purchase things from their campers.
