Just have fun in quick play, play a bit of every hero. Lot's of cool people in quick play, nobody cares to lose but people try their best anyway. Don't do comp unless you can fill in for any hero needed. You'll be good.

get used to the controls, and play with friend during that time. It's not fun to suck in the beginning because you can't walk or turn fast. It takes some time to get used to it.
