Hey guys, thanks for the add. Looking for opinions here, my 980ti just melted, and i'm trying to decide on a replacement. Is it worth getting a 1080 if I dont VR? (1080ti is out of my price range) Or should I save the cash and go for a 1070 instead? EDIT : I want to game at 3440 X 1440... pushing alot of pixels.

depends upon resolutions and purpose of use really. if 1080p then go the 1070 if 1440p then go the 1080

I have a gtx 1070 (Zotac) and I have been building PC's and Gaming for 20+ years...the 1070 does everything I want and is great at 1440P...I also use an Ultra wide monitor (so that requires more pixel pushing than just your standard resolutions)
