GPU options for a new build?

Just purchased...

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
MOBO: MSI Tomahawk B350
PSU: EXGA 850 B+
COOLER: Corsair H100i GTX
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V 4GB x2 DDR4 3000
1x 120gb SSD
1x XPG M.2 PCIe SSD 512GB

Wondering if I should use my old card or get a new one...

OLD: XFX Radeon R9 390 8GB Black Edition

I've seen the prices of newer GPUs have skyrocketed. Should I shell out the money for a 1080 or 1080ti? Or should I just use my old card. Only has about 2 years of use on it.

If your not going up resolution don't do anything better then a 1070 or 580. Ryzen doesn't like 144hz lol if you want 4k go 1080 ti. If 1440p go 1080. 1080p 1070 or 1060 6gb.

Your 390 is pretty good I'd just stick with that till Vega or 1080 sale.

Get what you can afford, if 1080ti is in the budget go for that, just make sure your monitor is up to spec

My choice at first was the tomahawk. But the gaming pro x370 got me at the onboard gpu

Unless you're playing at 4k or have a high refresh rate 1080p or 1440p monitor, then the 390 is more than enough still.

Wait it out. You know the next release around the corner. Then a 1080 will be today's 980. Sad how fast they become worth nothing overnight. Never felt so stupid buying 2 first titans then felt raped when the 980ti come out. Reason I haven't bought nvidia since.
