First time ever overclocking anything. Didn't do it manually, just used MSI's "OC Genie" which says it checks the memory and CPU and picks a stable overclock. It bumped my FX 8370 from 4.0 Ghz to 4.3 Ghz, and the stock "wraith" air cooler, at 100% speed, seems able to hold it at 68-69 Celsius under full load. I did experience some temperature spikes until I adjusted the fan curve though because it wasn't ramping up fast enough for my taste.
I'm going to run a few stress tests like maybe some video encoding or something and let it run for a half hour or so and make sure the temps stay where I want them.
I haven't ran into any CPU bottlenecks, I'm just legitimately curious about this whole "overclocking" thing, and since my processor is supposed to be overclocked, I figured I might as well see how much of a bump I can get,
