FIFA 18 - enjoying it, trying to work out ultimate mode but I am sure that will come in time!

Does anyone know if you have to be always online for ultimate mode? Perhaps an obvious question but I can't find the answer via google. And also... if I put the switch to sleep when playing, it always is disconnected when I wake it up so kicks me out of ultimate mode. So I assume if I don't compete a full game all my progress will be lost?

Any comments/answers will be appreciated.

Yeah ultimate team is online only!

Ultimate team is online only. Never put your switch to sleep whilst in the middle of the game. Not only is your game disconnected and progress lost, EA also penalises you and reduces your coin winnings for the next game.
