I use Windows defender and malwabytes as a scanner i have been pretty safe so far

No, common sense is still the best. Get a free firewall and free Malwarebytes. U don't need Windows Firewall, Defender, etc ...just hogs resources and doesn't protect much.

use avast free antivirus which has some good system optimizations and good features
