Rather than delay the release, it decided to launch the Lair as scheduled, encouraging players to "Keep it clean, lest ye be judged." Going in, we didn't know exactly what to expect from Eater of Worlds. As with a Raid, Bungie left it to players to discover what types of challenges it featured, though we did know it would consist of new puzzles, encounters, and a final boss fight. This is all set inside the Leviathan Raid but is not quite as substantial as that activity.

Raid Lairs are Bungie's attempt to compensate for how long it takes to release new Raids. To date, only one Raid is available for Destiny 2, and we don't yet know when the next one will arrive. Raid Lairs are meant to provide new Raid content while re-using some of Bungie's previous work. In addition to offering new challenges, Eater of Worlds also features its own unique rewards. A second Raid Lair will launch with Destiny 2's next DLC expansion, which is due out next spring.

It remains unclear whether Raid Lairs are able to keep fans who are eager for more content--particularly of the high-end variety--happy. That this was beaten so quickly doesn't mean much, as the world's best players are expected to race through these kinds of things in little time. Bungie will look to keep those players happy with a new update due out next week, which will introduce
