It's been a long time coming, but Marvel's first female-led superhero movie arrives next year. Captain Marvel hits theaters in March 2019, with star Brie Larson in the title role. The movie is expected to start shooting soon, and Larson has posted an image of her training for the role on Instagram. The caption says it all: "Learning how to fly." Check it out below:

The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn (Star Wars: Rogue One), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes), and DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It). Samuel L Jackson will also make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the role of SHIELD boss Nick Fury.
