Anyone know how to turn off gama so people can't cheat at night? I have tried the settings a couple different times but doesn't work

I i think its a great idea. And i play pvp official new servers. Wtf is the point in a torch if you can adjust ypu gamma to not need them? Its cheating in my book. I play as the game was ment to be played.. Trolls turn gamma up cause you will be seen at night with a torch.
