Theres litterally no reason for doing that to a card that NEW . Thats a fucking 2017 1080ti Strix card of all things ...that was made not even 5 months ago from factory . Chances are if you pop that sob open you'll break it and be out $700-$800 cuz you decided to be like your friends lol.

Just make sure you have a screw driver that matches the screw size so you don't strip any screws. Otherwise it should be pretty straight forward, the card isn't as delicate as you may think

Thats something you do if your watercooling or if its a very old card needing it.
which with 3 fans i doubt you need watercooling

I've only ever reapplied thermal paste if I have to take it apart, like when I've had to replace a fan or something.

make sure you switch the ball bearings on the fans too
