Would my GTX 1070 be good for mining?? I don't really have a separate build to work with, but if I ran it for say 8-12 hours a day... thoughts?

i make $8aud a day with a 1080 so i'd say go for it, the 1070 is supposed to be better at mining than a 1080. depends how much you pay on electricity, i dont pay for electricity so any money is profit

.08 a kw/h even after the $1000 plummet in bitcoin pricing and $80 drop in Ethereum it is still profitable to mine on the 1060/1070

If you live in southern California then there's no profit. Running your mining rig 24/7 would put you in the high usage bracket for Edison and that's $0.31/kWh. You either break even or lose a couple dollars to Edison.
