What does the product do, exactly? (in layman's terms)

It allows you to use different controllers on different systems? (I have a generic USB controller, which I would love to just plug n play in different PC's without having to install x360ce, or having to set it up. That shit's a chore and sometimes it doesn't configure properly :/
