To all people considering buying new processors.
If you dont bother to read it there are two attacks that could possibly affect your newly purchased cpu. The meltdown exploit sounds like they can patch against it, but the spectre exploit can only be mitigated against. To actually fix this exploit, they have to redesign the cpus. Unless its a dire need i would consider holding off on future cpu purchases until they address these issues ,unless you're confident about what goes into your computer. User beware, be safe out there boys and girls.

I think there's also a link in the article to software from Intel that runs on Windows and Linux machines to check if your cpu is affected

People need to be properly educated about the exploits. You already need access to the system to use the exploits. Without physical access to the system it's much more difficult to use. Also, it does affect older AMD processors pre Ryzen and cell phones.

I read that well written flash code can do it and of course, click bait malware
