Attic if you have one or pack it all up and take it with you if you leave the area lol our house was flooded from Katrina but mostly everything in the attic didn't get touched by any water

others have mentioned. but I'd really just recommend ziplocs and those vacuum sealed bags you see on TV. put everything of value in a Rubbermaid container after sealing them up.
