this is just an idea, but what if they'd add a second way to get gold weapons. if you play a hero for a long enough time ( maybe 100, 150, 200 or above hours? ) you unlock their gold weapons.

They should implement ranks for each hero and you would need to get a rank high enough so you deserve his weapon.
