If you go from the south, (via Central Hyrule -> the Ridgelands) it's a longer trip, but probably safer... if you go from the north (Woodlands -> Hebra) and don't have cold-endurance food stocked up, you will probably freeze to death lol

If you hit - you should be able to pull up your map and see the village toward the top left. I believe you can stick a waypoint on it that will help you find your way there. Don't walk through Hyrule field unless you want to be attacked by Guardians.

I had the same problem so I worked at upping my stamina until I could climb up haha
