Sooo guys, I have an 8 channel mixer that I want to start using on my PC to better the sound quality of music, and if/when I decide to start streaming. I used to have it set up with my old PC and old speakers, but they were just stereo speakers. My new setup is 5.1 surround sound, so I have all these extra 3.5 mm plugs that i don't know if/how I can connect to the mixer.

Is it even possible to set it up properly with 5.1 surround sound?

you have a stereo mixer. What you need is either:
An AVR
A Reciever/dac (that can decode 5.1 mixes) and an AMP
Or, most modern motherboards has 5.1 out and just use that.

If you really want to use your mixer, you'll only be able to properly use it with your left and right front channels.
