So kind of new to ark. Killed a few dinos, been killed by many more. Established a couple outposts. Made my way to level 35 so far! And yet, I've barely explored 3 inches of the bottom part of the island! Holy crap, this map is huge!

Haven't played much of the new rag map. Started up on it and just took off running through and exploring expecting to die. Got attacked by a group of badger type things. Not the beavers. And got saved by some abominable snowman guy. He killed all of them. Pretty bad ass map.

The island is the smallest map def don’t go further inland until you have a decent flyer. I wouldn’t bother with anything below 50.

Dodos are beautiful for the new player so you can start making kibble to tame a good pt. Trikes are usually my 2nd tame, and you might want some plant x’s
