tomshardware and nvidia official link says so as well . If your monitor got vga port only, it wont accept digital signals . Digital signals are the only thing dvi d can make so no it wont work.

I have personally used one of those myself on a monitor I too was given. It worked absolutely fine.

It wont work. I used it on my 1070 and got no signal at all. Get a hdmi to vga adapter. That will work

It works, but may as well use onboard. I bought one for my RX480 before getting a decent monitor
