Nah, you can find a 1080 uses for cheap. You'll notice a difference but not what you're expecting just moving to a 1070.

Personally screw the asctetics. Save the power supply money and get a 1080 or save on the case and get a 1080Ti. Sleeper builds are legit and a case does nothing for performance (sans cooling).

I don’t think you need a new PSU 700 Watts is fine and if cable management is not an issue then fuck it and get a better GPU

1070 is very powerful and efficient, you could get away with using a 450 watt power supply. if i were you i would go for a case with a basement like nzxt s340 elite or fractal design meshify/define c.
