Really confused but what's the difference between video ram and dedicated video ram. My laptop has 4 GB of video ram but 512 MB for dedicated video ram, does it matter?
In a PC with separate Video Card and CPU units, the Video card ram stores the commands for textures and physics rendering, while the CPU runs the commands for the program and loading operations, commands on standby are stored in RAM as we typically know it. (simplified)
If you have no dedicated grpaphics card the system memory(RAM) is shared between the cpu and gpu part of the processor. Try looking at reviews for the old AMD A series of processors. That might help you understand the difference.
