Overwatch is very unlikely to 'die' per-se because the nature of it with events and competitive keeps people coming back. The only way it will 'die' is with the fact it's the sort of game that if you're only a casual you will probably get bored eventually because it is repetitive but there are enough people who take the game seriously that it's very unlikely to 'die.' More just like any game once it's been out for a few years the novelty and hype from it tends to wear off for people who play it more casually and you're more just left with the serious players
