Okay, this shit is seriously pissing me off. I have a game that's 12 years old that I just re-found. I have an XP partition I'm trying to load it onto. It's on 4 discs. The last disc has a scratch so it won't install.
I tried several times. I had the video store run it through their machine. It still won't fly.
Fine.
I go online and discover that I can download it for free--if I perform a bunch of ridiculous tasks and outwit all the malware, spyware, and viruses. It's a fucking 12 year old game, for fuck's sake. I just want to recapture some of the glory of my past when I could beat a fucking game.
I'm not trying to do anything illegal, I own the goddamn game. It just won't play.
Any suggestions?
Any helpful, useful suggestions?
Or recommend a game in the style of Ash vs Evil Dead: Regeneration that isn't a high end resource hog requiring the latest and greatest equipment because...
