Xbox One Ok so my buddys server went down he brought it back up but it won't let anyone join it...

Ok so my buddys server went down he brought it back up but it won't let anyone join it stays greyed out on his host profile anyone had this problem or know how to fix it we have tried resetting everything nothing's working

Clear the cache.

Is his controller still connected to host Xbox? Turning it off too soon after resetting can make it to where no one can join.

He has to keep the controller on til the server goes to the admin screen before it can be turned off

Also if these don't work, do a hard reset

Check nat type sometimes it will move to strict so a reset of his router will fix it
