GPU: 1070 8gb
CPU: i5 4690 3.5 gz
RAM: 4x8gb hyperx savage ddr3
My friends specs:
GPU: 1050ti 4gb
CPU: i7 6800 3.4 gz
RAM: 8gb ddr4

Idk. Probably yours because of the superior GPU and more RAM. If yours had the lesser RAM it'd be an easy "yours for gaming, his for work", but 8gb of ram, yeesh, even my MacBook has 16gb of RAM.... Granted his RAM is DDR4, I believe DDR3 and 4 were almost negligibly different in real world application unless you're doing some really specific farming anyways (could be very wrong however)

Your PC for gaming, even if his CPU is more powerful, weak GPU + limited memory bandwidth(ESPECIALLY if thats 1x8gb) means even for editing work it's performance capability will be limited. Single stick memory bandwidth is roughly half dual channel bandwidth, so 4 sticks of ddr3 has potentially more bandwidth than most 1x8gb ddr4 sticks unless they are 3333mhz+.

If he happens to be running 2x4gb, then his bandwidth would be better, but he'd still be work-limited on what he can do with 8gb.

Upgrade the i7 rig to 16gb dual channel + a gtx 1060 & I'd prefer it for PUBG@1080p on Very low + reshade.
