Disabling windows search was the fix for me, others have said that the hdd is failing as well which could be true since my mobo and hdd shit the bed at the same time

Cutting off all of cortoana or how ever you spell her name, upgrading to a ssd for better speed and cutting off windows notifications helped me... I’m sure the ssd didn’t make I difference but it’s just faster lol

Windows 10 has the store feature which floods in app being hauled from Microsoft app market. You can disable it. Tons of videos are there.
Superfetch is another disk hungry process followed by Cortana.
On a side check, see if Windows updates are set to manual
