My current pc I built back in 2013 and as you can imagine it's starting to feel like I need an upgrade on most parts, however my gpu and psu I upgraded back in 2015 so I'm wondering wether I could get away with keeping the gpu.

It's a msi Radeon r9 280x 3gb.

I know it isn't a world beater but it runs all the games I play perfectly fine, but I'm not sure wether it's worth keeping it or doing a full new build just to be a bit more future proof.

Cheers

If your sticking to 1080p then the GPU should be fine for another 12 month

The 7970/280X are great cards for 1080p they certainly aged well I had 2x 7970s which the 2 are refreshes of each other . I would say a GtX 1060/ RX 4 or 5 series cards . My system is a few years old also I updated the card to a 390 8gb and that's good for a few years yet
