Moving up to 3440x1440p today. I only have a gtx1070.
Q: if i get a 4k monitor and set resolution to 1440p. Preferred 3440x1440p. Will the black bars be annoying?
Budget 400$
I only play 1 game. Needn 55 to 60 fps.

there will not be black bars they are both 16:9 however there will be other issues with resolution clarity and GTX 1070 is bad at 4k just get a 2k monitor

For 1440p get a 1440p monitor, it's better than downscalling

probably if u buy 60hz panel and u cant set 3440x1440 on a 4k monitor. It must be ultrawide one.

Im coming from 2560x1080p. Ive been using 21:9 i may not like 16:9 anymore thats why i rather play 3440x1440 than 2560x1440.
