Torb in any play mode is an anti dive tool... If you get stuck with one on your team just use the turret as a "safe space" gives you the breathing room from a genji or tracer you need plus armor can be the difference between life and death... Not ideal but can be viable

Torb on attack is under rated, payload maps it can hard carry a point. If you have ult, that point is practically guaranteed if the turret is on the payload with a shield. It’s a bit different for 2cp, kinda requires your team to push one way while you go completely different way to setup a turret and hope you get ignored.
