Towards the end Placements are pretty hit-or-miss though, but you can't decay if you aren't ranked yet.

I lost around 2-300Sr last season from decay. I'll take my chances with poor teammates in late season, lol

Yes! I took 2 seasons off and lost from plat to silver

Two seasons is different.
The MMR takes previous data-- if your had none the season before, it considers that

Also, there's no decay from plat to silver

I went from rank 70 season, diamond 2 and 3, skipped 4, placed LOW plat in 5 and worked through to Masters
