I recently purchased a gtx 1070. I'm going from 1080p 60hz monitor. I'm looking for a minor with the next logical performance increase but budget is a concern. Should I go 1440p? 144hz 1080p? Any suggestions?

1440p. I bought a 144hz 1080p with my 1070 as well and I can personally say that while the 144hz is nice, I probably would have enjoyed the higher res more.

Wait for Black Friday. 1070 is sweet with 1440p 144Hz. Don't get hung up on GSync, you'll be fine without it.

I still thinks it depends on the game you are playing the most..if much time spent on dota,csgo or overwatch better with 144hz 1080p..but if more time wasted on gta5, witcher 3, watch dogs 2 or those open worlds games maybe better with 1440p 60hz
