I'm a Rein main, and I do this for any ulting people that get in my way if I have my Earthshatter ready.

Earthshatter isn't just a way to knock everyone down to get POTG.
It's also a SOLID ult killer.
Dragonblade, Tactical Visor, Death Blossom, Tank Mode, etc all get shut down if Rein hits them with their ult.
