I might be speaking too soon but my Son's X51 R1 (we got it on clearance for $300.00 back in 2012) original HDD failed last year (Seagate crap) I replaced it with a WD HDD black and for the first time ever I had a WD fail. (complete and sudden failure) I had extra $$ this time and for $300.00 I was able to get a Samsung EVO 860 1T. and this is the too soon part I plugged it in and Windows 10 started to install right away. so maybe Dad doesn’t have to yell and scream today 
It’s a old machine but it still plays the games he likes and I thought if it fails again I can take the SSD and put it in something else.
