I HIGHLY recommend getting the Wired Internet LAN Adapter if you get frequent disconnects while playing Splatoon 2. I like to play in my bedroom which is the furthest room from my router.

PROS: no more disconnects in Splatoon 2! Faster download of digital games.

CONS: --I had to run an Ethernet cable from the living room to my room but at least I can use the same line for my PS4.
--the adapter seems to be sold only online so you can't get it right away (I got mine at Amazon )
--you can only use it in docked mode.

It works quite well when traveling too... hotels sometimes have terrible wifi, this made life easy!

Do you need a Switch specific one, or can you just use any USB Ethernet adapter? I think I still have one for my Wii from back in the day.
