I have been reading that the i7 7700k tends to run hot. What I havnt been able to find is the max that the manufacturer recommends. Can anyone guide me to this or let me know what they keep their 7700k at? Mine is pretty constant at around 75c when I'm gaming. Is that ok or should I invest in a new cooler?

You can always delid if you are worried. It’s so much cheaper than getting an AIO or high end air cooler. It will have the same impact to your temperatures as well

Check the T junction #, that is the max temp before throttling (100c) in this case

I wouldn't personally go above 80c for average temp while gaming to avoid longevity issues

I idle at 25° and max load temps at 65° while gaming for hours on 4.7ghz with a corsair h100i v2.
