hey im a relatively new player and im just wondering how many heroes should i main and would trying to master all the healers be a bad idea? im currently a tank/healer main btw

It's not a bad idea no. Your best bet is to master 2 heroes of each role. 2 tanks 2 DPS and 2 healers.

Yeah 2 from each category is fair.
Most heroes aren't that hard to play though so you should try to learn as many as you can at least a little when you aren't playing your favorites.

My strategy is master one of each type
Ex: I main Reaper, Reinhardt, can do Widowmaker but still learning, tracer, mercy, and zenyatta
