You only need 10 vanguard tokens to get it, that’s two strikes

You could also play through with another character and choose it when he gives you a choice between the three weapons.

Are you new to Striking? (That sounded weird. Apologies.)

That's the only reason I can think of that you're required to earn 10 engrams before you can purchase the weapon.

Side note: I'm assuming the "limited time" thing will be available until next week's reset. But that's just me.

I ALMOST bought that pulse from Shaxx 2 seconds later Hawthorne gave it to me at 26+ lvls phew close one. It was decebt but the banner pulse has better perks...but its comparable to Lincoln green. Super fast and accurate...may as well be auto rifle.
