It's just a wall charger with a USB-C plug. It's one feature I was pleased to see on the switch since I can charge in my car, at my desk, or anywhere I charge my phone. You can get these chargers for under $5.

I haven’t had much luck with the cheap chargers. They charge the Switch when it is in sleep mode but don’t really charge while you’re playing.

The main thing to look at when getting a charger for your Switch is the amps it gives you. The more amps, the more power you'll get. Check the Nintendo charger to see what amps it needs.
