Does Doom come with offline, split-screen multiplayer option?

Time sure changes, some years ago the key question was about online option lol

Sadly the switch barely handles doom, there is no way it could handle rendering everything twice for split screen.

Guys, I found online that the game comes with the 1P (retro naming lol) mode BUT it will include multiplayer as DLC soon (free, I guess).

It still wasn't clear enough whether or not by multiplayer it mean local play or only online. Any clue you guys?
