Got a second hand system for a friend, was booting the other day but the GPU would overheat and crash. I've noticed that the fans turn off after 5-15 seconds. It was putting out a display and now nothing, the Motherboard is the same ( the on board output won't work ) , everything else it working ( CPU, RAM, Fans, HDD. ) Put the GPU into my computer same outcome. Went and found a 650TI and put it in and the fans turned off and it started over heating. Thoughts?

No card should be overheating if you're just turning it on and booting into windows.

Also, if NO video is working, either onboard or gpu - how can you say that 'everything else is working' ? Cable jammed directly up your arse give you a telepathic view?
