Well to be fair, a lot of the damage came from the fact you shot into the deflecting genji

Genji dash would normally kill me if it hits that totally fine but the fact that i killed him right as he clicked shift and the dash damage was registered even tho he didnt even get close enough is what im talking about

it's not. On the server, its believes that genji did swift you from the distance. At the same time, it noticed that you killed him. The server takes it into a account and noticed that you both died.

The thing with latency is is that it would play back as intended in the kill cam. This looks more like a glitch than latency. (Dealing with latency since forever ) but then again... i could be wrong

That sort of behaviour is usually due to latency, I think.

This is definently a case of high ping and 'favor the shooter'

genji's dash went off first, registering his kill but at the same time your bullet landed on him, thus, while you died, his body was not shown being killed and on his screen, he dashed through you and his body probably flung to a wall.
