Lol Destiny 1 had a flaming head aura for the week you completed it.

There’s options to hold auras because they just expanded this idea to the raid.

They could have done nothing at all.

Then people would have complained it was something missing that D1 had.

Okay, but there is little to no reason to do prestige raids/prestige nightfall at all...if you could get a permanent aura that would be an extra incentive to do it.
