Longtime Destiny 2 players have complained about the game's weapon overview interface for almost ten years, but Bungie's most recent Season 21 blog has shown off some of the key improvements. Players are eager to learn what the next big step might be with Season of the Abyss slated to release on May 22, and the developer has just revealed the latest in a series of revelations. In the game, players can gather enough Destiny 2 Silver.

Almost every aspect of Destiny 2 has been substantially upgraded over the years, with some of the biggest improvements coming during Bungie's transition from the original Destiny to the sequel. However, until now, some features haven't been so lucky, and the developers seem ready to take another outdated UI to the next level.

While news of a Destiny 2 season pass price hike was met with community backlash, Bungie seems eager to win over fans again, this time with a long-awaited UI update. Notably, the developer's new Season 21 weapon tuning blog revealed that players will finally be able to rotate weapon models to get a closer look at them from all sides. The upgrade also extends to the game's ship selection, with each ship now fully on display for fans to see.

While this improvement may seem trivial at first glance, the simple fact is that Bungie didn't implement it until now, and players are excited to finally be able to view the work of Bungie's 3D artists from a variety of different angles. Items like Destiny 2's Strange Thorn Cannon will now be more interesting in the inventory screen, a feature that should help bring all of the unique weapon and ship models to life like never before.

It's also worth emphasizing that the ability to rotate weapon models is just one small feature in Bungie's preview of new weapon tweaks for Season 21. The developers also used the opportunity to preview a plethora of weapon changes that will be part of Season 21. Deep, further improvements to the reticle is a notable upgrade. Broadly speaking, players should look forward to what Bungie previously published in their Destiny 2 Season 21 armor tweak overview in their latest blog post.

The in-depth weapon previews might be exciting for some Destiny fans, but more interesting are the rumors that Destiny 2 might introduce fishing in Season 21. While the only source of this rumor right now are leaks, they do come from the people responsible for some of the most high-profile leaks the game has ever seen, and players will soon find out if these are true.
