broooooo is the astro a40 any good .and is there much of a diffrence without the mixamp im thinking of geting just the headphones cuz that shiz cost alot

Astro a40 is AMAZING. Probably what you don't want to hear is that you need the MixAmp. It makes a HUGE difference. They have actually come down in price since I purchased mine I think I paid like 350 and I think you can get them for almost 200$ now w the mix amp. My buddy wasn't really sold on sound but he is a gamer... needless to say after putting these on and playing Battlefield he is saving up to buy them LOL

Something like the AKG 770's are miles ahead of the Astro's. I wouldn't even consider the Astro's unless they were sub $100. Biggest waste of money you can spend on headphones.
