Well I'm not on an official server. But I could get you started with a flyer and a farming dino. Otherwise just spawn on the beach and kill dodo/lystro until you have enough hide to make a bed. Put down a foundation with that on top of it. Then another foundation with a storage container. Put walls and a door around that. Then a mortar and pestle. Start collecting narcoberries and raw meat off more dodo/lystro, right click your stack of meat and select the split option, then split all. This way it spoils as quickly as possible. Learn the narcotic engram and start crafting it. Get a bow and start making tranq arrows. Make a bola. Wait till a Ptera lands and bola it, shoot it in the face until it passes out. Put raw meat on the Ptera. If the unconscious meter starts getting low before the taming reaches 100%, give it some narcotic or narcoberries to keep it asleep. Once it wakes up its yours. Learn the saddle engram, kill Turtles, Trikes, even Bugs to get the Chitin/Keratin to craft the saddle. Thats pretty much Ark thatch life. From there you just keep building and taming to make your life easier. Using your flyer to scout for a safer place to build inland.
