I was planing on buying some of the 600gb models (WD6000HLHX) for my gaming system. The HLHX designation means they are the newer 6gb/s models with a larger cache. They are still viable 10,000 rpm 6gb/s drives. 4 of them in raid 0 will give you the same throughput as a 2 or 3 SDD in raid 0, but not the same IOPS capability as the SSD. I would still use them as a cheap alternative to SSD.
