Almost always if you have a few bucks it's a good idea to go for at least 80 Plus Gold. Your computer will be happy at the end of the day.

Tier lists are garbage. If you truly want to research your buy in a PSU, JonnyGuru is the only place to go.

In my experience, the only brand that belongs at tier 1 is Seasonic.
