Single card is better in the long run than 2 lesser ones as graphics memory don't stack in the way you think it would only 2 games that I know of has gotten this right Max Payne 3 and GTAV

Get a single 1080ti, my 1070sli just weren't making the cut where DX12 supported games were concerned as they don't scale correctly
